Why is that I can drink black coffee first thing in the morning with no (discernable) side effects - but regular tea with milk on an empty stomach gives me the most horrific stomach spasms?

ok dr m. propism at your service ms schuth. we need to discern if it's the milk or the tea that is causing this strange reaction. can you drink black tea in the morning? the reason i ask that is not based on my lengthy medical training, but because i often get stomach spasms (cramps) from milk esp full cream milk. ($55 standard consultation)
hmmm interesting...we have painful tea experiences too. black tea at night + 2 rows of dark chocolate = stomach cramps half an hour later. so we have given it up (the black tea of course ;))
Of antipodean origin, currently living in Germany with the "Ger-Man", not-nearly-as-little-as-he used-to-be "Caspi-Man" , "The Cheeky Monkey", and four-legged "Banjo". Dream is to have a permanent place in both hemispheres and the means to travel betweeen. Am lucky to have family & friends in far-flung corners of the globe but, where ever I am, I'm missing someone terribly. Prone to procrastination and to wearing pajamas and animal ears - I
often find myself outside my comfort zone...life seems to be a continually- vertical learning curve...
